Proceeds raised from this year's Fireworks Picnic will support the Detroit Institute for Children's year-round Learning, Enrichment, and Achievement Program (LEAP). These past two years have been particularly difficult for children with special needs. The proceeds from the Picnic will provide much needed funding to help these children "Catch Up and Keep Up."

The Edsel and Eleanor Ford House now has their own liquor license, so they will be able to supply the alcohol and bartenders for events moving forward. This new opportunity would help support these costs.
